Reporting to

Responsibilities:

Plan, organise, and execute events that meet the organisation’s objectives, ensuring attendee and stakeholder satisfaction. Key tasks include: 

  • Planning and coordinating the organisation’s events, including venue selection, supplier management, logistics, and event evaluation: 
  • Budget management and control for each project, including invoices and payments. 
  • Selection, hiring, and management of necessary event suppliers such as catering, equipment rental, decoration, transportation, etc. 
  • Developing event programs, including activity schedules, speeches, and presentations. 
  • Communicating and promoting events, collaborating with the Communications & Marketing department to ensure proper promotion. 
  • Attending and being present at events and periodic group activities. Managing attendee registrations, coordinating staff, and addressing any needs related to planning and organisation. 
  • Identifying and managing event-related risks and ensuring attendee safety by complying with applicable standards and regulations. 
  • Ensuring suppliers meet required quality and service standards. 
  • Collecting information, analysing, and evaluating events to identify areas for improvement and making adjustments for future events. 
  • Preparing reports and analysing results. 
  • Understanding the occupational risks associated with the position and adopting the recommended preventive measures. 
  • Adopting good environmental management and energy efficiency practices, serving as an example. 

Educational Background and Additional Training:

  • Degree in Advertising, Public Relations, Tourism, and/or Communication. 
  • Additional training in Event Management. 
  • Knowledge of Hospitality and Marketing. 

Required Skills:

  • Professional-level proficiency in English. 
  • French proficiency highly valued. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Negotiation skills. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. 
  • Time management skills. 

Experience:

More than 1 year of experience in Event Management and Organisation and/or positions related to Public Relations.
