MB92 La Ciotat will also be contributing a large investment into the shiplift, representing a long-term commitment in what will become the Mediterranean’s largest and most sophisticated hub for superyacht refit and repair.
Ben Mennem commented: “We are delighted to be able to offer our large yacht customers an easily accessible new refit solution that complements the 2,000-tonne yacht lift and our 200-metre dry dock in La Ciotat and enhances the wide array of docking facilities we provide for large yachts. We are committed to developing the refit business and look forward to working closely with la Ciotat Shipyards to increase mega yacht workflow and creating direct and indirect jobs for the local community. ”
According to Pepe García-Aubert, President and CEO of the MB92 Group, “Docking facilities for yachts over 80 metres are a rare commodity in the Mediterranean so we are very pleased to be able to offer additional options for this market segment. We are happy to have a long-term project in La Ciotat that allows us to further develop the superyacht refit & repair industry in the area.”
Mr. Aykut Ozgulsun, a representative of the Dogus Group added: “We are very proud of this new achievement, which underlines our investment strategy in the growing mega yacht market. Our ambition is to continue to invest and grow our portfolio of ventures in the sector.”
