MB92 Golfe-Juan announced today that it has completed its first haul-out and officially commenced operations, marking an important milestone in the development of MB92 Group’s expanding portfolio of refit shipyards. Following the certification of its new 240-tonne travelift last week, the site is now fully operational, ready to service 16 yachts simultaneously of up to 43 metres.
Ideally positioned between Monaco and St Tropez, MB92 Golfe-Juan offers a convenient location for all types of refit project, from short stops to complex refits. This expansion reflects MB92 Group’s commitment to bringing its renowned expertise and service quality closer to clients in one of the world’s premier yachting destinations.
To bring the shipyard in line with the Group’s strict quality standards, MB92 is investing over €5 million in modernising the site. Key developments include the renovation of buildings, the restoration of the hard-standing area, and the installation of new infrastructure to prevent pollution and improve environmental performance. Tried and tested procedures and protocols are now in place to enhance efficiency, safety, and service delivery, ensuring that clients receive the same level of quality and attention to detail as in any of MB92 Group’s shipyards.
MB92 Golfe-Juan will operate under the guidance of its new Site Manager, Philippe Escousse, a former professional skipper with extensive experience in yacht refit. His hands-on approach, combined with the expertise of more than 15 professionals from the former shipyard, ensures a smooth transition for existing clients while upholding the highest standards of service.
Rob Papworth, CEO of MB92 La Ciotat, said: “Our experience with the 300t Origins platform in La Ciotat has proven the value of a flexible, client-focused approach, and I am confident we can replicate the same success in Golfe-Juan. Clients will benefit from MB92 Group’s significant investment in the site, access to our extensive network of global and local providers, as well as project support from La Ciotat.”
The launch of MB92 Golfe-Juan is part of a broader modernisation initiative of the Camille-Rayon port led by D-Marin. Both companies share the ambition of developing a high-performance service hub, combining top-tier infrastructure with reliable services to meet the highest standards of sustainability and operational excellence.
Corinne Reynaud, Global Chief Financial Officer at D-Marin and the President of D-Marin France said: “As we continue to enhance the capabilities of the Camille-Rayon port, the opening of MB92 Golfe-Juan marks an exciting new chapter in our commitment to delivering exceptional infrastructure and services. The expansion of our portfolio reflects our dedication to supporting the growth of the yachting industry while upholding the highest standards of sustainability and operational excellence. We are proud to partner with MB92 in this endeavour and look forward to the success of this key addition to the Mediterranean yachting landscape.”
With operations now underway, MB92 Golfe-Juan is set to deliver expert refit services while reinforcing the region’s reputation as a leading yachting hub.
