MB92 La Ciotat has become a Corporate member of the Monaco-based non-profit organisation, the Sea Index. This new partnership is in line with the company’s commitment towards promoting greater sustainable good practice in superyachting.
The Sea Index, founded by the Monaco Yacht Club and Credit Suisse, is developing a CO2 emission rating system for yachts over 40m LOA. Verified by Lloyd’s Register, the tool is an easy-to-use method for superyachts to assess their carbon impact, providing an evaluation rating from one to five stars based on a range of criteria, and acting as a framework to support owners identify more sustainable solutions.
The agreement is part of a collaborative effort between all key industry players to share information and ultimately lead to producing a tool that is effective and easily adopted by owners.
