MB92 interrupts normal operations in both shipyards to combat the spread of COVID-19
Spanish and French Governments have enforced strict restrictions on movements to combat the spread of COVID-19 that will last until the end of March at the earliest. This period of confinement has impacted the lives of everyone, but we believe these measures are the most prudent and effective way forward.
The health and safety of our employees, clients, suppliers and local community remains our absolute priority, and given the significant flow of people into and out of our facilities, the MB92 Group feels that it would be irresponsible to continue operating at a normal level.
Therefore, since Tuesday 17th, both sites have interrupted normal operations, in accordance with national confinement restrictions, until further notice. All employees, clients and working partners have been kept fully informed and we thank them all for their trust, understanding and collaboration.
The health and safety of our employees, clients, suppliers and local community remains our absolute priority.
Throughout this period, small on-site teams will remain on duty 24h to continue providing security and maintenance to facilities, and to cover client needs. The rest of the team will provide support remotely to ensure any disruption is minimised and to plan for when operations return to full capacity.
The global response to the COVID-19 epidemic over the past few weeks has shown us at our most resilient and collaborative. This challenge will not resolve itself overnight, but we are confident that, through the measures taken by our governments, businesses and individuals, we will see a return to normal working life very soon.
Our hearts go out those families who have been affected by the virus and we thank the medical teams deeply for their devotion during this difficult time.
